The process of certifying a new telephone model must follow these steps:
- The client/partner requests a PAF quotation to certify the phone to the commercial responsible.
- The R&D and QA department estimates the effort and the cost for running the certification tests for the telephone (typically 3000€).
- After the certification and the PAF is payed at 100% Collab starts the certification tests.
- The client/partner must provide 3 telephones remotely connected to Collab’s QA environment or partner’s environment if Collab has conditions to do the remote certification there.
- The client/partner must provide a point of contact to help performing the remote tests.
- The point of contact from Collab side to these certification tests is Jorge Correia (head of QA).
- After the certification tests PAF is ended a new PAF will be estimated and proposed for the final homologation of the telephone model to address the following:
- Changes to Collab’s source code to address any issue found in the certification tests.
- Provide the auto-provisioning feature for the telephone model (client/partner must provide all the necessary information in order to auto-provision the telephone model).
- Final certification tests after everything the tasks above are performed.
- Before starting this phase the customer/partner must:.
- Pay the homologation PAF according to the PAF payment conditions (50% before start, 30% on delivery and 20% with the final acceptance).
- Provide 3 telephones remotely connected to Collab’s QA environment.
- Provide a point of contact to help performing the remote tests.
