WFO installation

In order to install WFO, you must have the following available:


WFO Installation

  1. Create a Database for WFO and run the sql script: 
  2. Run OneWorkForceProvisioningCreateScript.sql and OneWorkForceProvisioningInsertScript.sql (to create the database and populate tables with default data).
  3. Run the sql script in the database created for WFO, e.g., OneWorkForceProvisioning: 
    UPDATE [Administrator] SET SystemAdministrator = 1
  4. For each hotfix, replace the former files with the new files (copy/paste into OneWorkForceWebServicesHost).
    Note: If upgrading to WFO, delete the OnePlan folder inside OneWorkForceWebServicesHost.
  5. Unzip the folder of WFO, e.g.: to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\OneWorkForceWebServicesHost
  6. Setup in an Application Pool in IIS for the WFO application:
  7. Configure the file web.config:
    1. Point to the BaseService (as in the IIS configuration):
            <setting name="Collab_OneWorkForce_Tools_BaseWebService_BaseService" serializeAs="String">
    2. Setup the database connection:

    3. Minimum safety setup:

  8. Start the Application Pool in the service and go to the URL.


Plans and Forecasts Upload

To upload Plans and Forecasts in the WorkForce GUI from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet:

  • Microsoft Office must be installed in the same machine as OneWorkforce.
  • Install Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable
  • Make sure you have the folder TemporaryFiles in the root directory (or create it, otherwise) with write permissions set for the IIS user group, as follows:
    • Right-click the directory, then choose Properties.
    • Go to the Security > Edit > Add, find in the Select Users, Computer, Services Accounts or Groups, the IUSR (if IUSR is not in the list, add it by clicking Edit, then clicking Add, and typing IUSR in the Enter the object names to select field) account and NETWORD_SERVICE(S).
    • Highlight the user in the list, click Edit, and grant the account Modify and Write permissions.
  • Allow the Internet Information Services (ISS) to run applications in 32-Bits, if Microsoft Office installed version is in 32-Bits (x86):
    1. Go to the ISS Pool Application.
    2. In the pool associated to your site, go to Advanced Settings > General.
    3. Set Enable 32-Bit Applications to True.
